A medical assistant would often be the first point of contact for patients. There are many administrative duties that medical assistants conduct ranging from: compiling reports, bookkeeping, appointment setting, and managing financial transactions.
Medical assistants may also check patient's vital signs and record a patient's medical history. Other duties may vary with the location, specialty, and size of the practice. Most medical assistants huse computers to conduct their duties.
