Computer Systems Design Industry Occupational Outlook

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, "the demand for increased network and computer systems security, mobile technologies, and custom programming services, along with the growing use of electronic health records, is expected to drive employment and output growth in the computer systems design and related services industry."

Growth isn't just in the computer systems security, mobile technologies, or custom programming specialties. Software as a Service is growing as well as businesses continue to use these services. For this reason, the software publishing industry is also growing at a fast rate. Then, there is the growing demand for virtual meetings, cloud storage, hosting, and data processing, which makes the information services industry a high growth industry as well. However, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics also projects that technology helps those in the industry increase productivity, therefore they project the job growth to eventually slow.
